Effects of Temperature, Light and Salinity on Germination of Salsola crassa (Amaranthaceae) Seeds from Different Years

Salsola crassa is a halophytic plant species from the Amaranthaceae family. In this study we aimed to find out effect of temperature, light, salinity, and age seeds on germination ability S. crassa. Seeds were collected in 2013 2014, seed wings which are known as perianth segments, removed before experiments. Both different years germinated under same conditions. Two temperature regimes at 5°C/16°C 8°C/20°C used dark daily photoperiodism 12 h intervals for determination effects temperature. NaCl concentrations. that did not germinate saline conditions taken into recovery viability after tested with Triphenyl Tetrazolium Chloride (TTC) test. As result, positively influenced rate (p<0.05) both years. Even though an increase salinity decreased it can be said euhalophyte whose even 1800 mM NaCl. Although important parameter germinability, there was any statistically significant difference between final rates 2014.
